On December 20th 2013, Urban Sufi Music (Sesac) signed a contract with DMX. Also, FKACO backed the move. In February of 2021 Ghadaqan reinstated the contract and began to deliver background music to Mood Media who acquired DMX and its subsidiary AEI Music Network Inc. in March 2012, for $86.1 million.
Mood Media has positioned themselves under DMX's multi-sensory branding services in the past decade. With the use of music, video, and digital signage, scent, and audio/visual systems.
With USM and FKACO branded content, Mood Media has yet to materialize any substantial revenue for the catalog. Mood Media does not insure hospitality deliveries to Gold’s Gym, McDonald’s, Burberry, and other retail chains like Whole Foods Market.
Thru HFA and SESAC, Urban Sufi Music is able to collect royalties from Mood Media & Stingray Digital Group. Who acquired the Canadian assets of DMX Music Inc. from Mood Media for $11.2 million.
